Driveways built on a proper base.
A driveway is only as good as what’s underneath it. We start every job with proper excavation, base prep, drainage, and grading — then we lay quality hot-mix asphalt and roll it tight. The result is a smooth, even surface that holds up to New England freeze-thaw, plow trucks, and daily use.
Whether you’re putting in a brand-new driveway, tearing out a failing one, or extending what you have, we’ll walk the property, measure it up, and give you a free written estimate. The price we quote is the price you pay.
Homeowners call us for driveway paving in Plymouth, Bridgewater, Middleborough, Carver, Kingston, Plympton, and nearby South Shore towns because we keep the process straightforward: look at the site conditions, explain the right repair or replacement option, and build the driveway to shed water instead of trapping it.

What makes a driveway last in Massachusetts.
The South Shore is hard on asphalt. Freeze-thaw cycles open small cracks, plow edges take abuse, and low spots hold water that eventually works into the base. A lasting asphalt driveway starts with the parts you do not see: excavation depth, compacted gravel, proper pitch, and stable edges.
Before we pave, we look at where water is moving, how the driveway meets the garage and street, whether the existing base can be saved, and whether the new surface needs a full replacement or a smaller extension. That helps avoid the most common driveway problems: puddling near the house, crumbling aprons, soft edges, and premature cracking.
Site review
We measure the driveway, check grade changes, inspect failed areas, and talk through how you use the space day to day.
Base preparation
We remove failed material where needed, add and compact the base, and set the pitch so water moves away from the house and garage.
Hot-mix paving
We install quality asphalt at the right thickness for the job, roll it tight, and finish the edges, apron, and transitions cleanly.
Every driveway, the same standard.
New installs
Full excavation, base prep, drainage, and grading before a single load of hot-mix is delivered. Two-course paving when the spec calls for it.
Tear-outs & replacements
When the base has failed, the only real fix is a proper tear-out. We remove the old surface, rework the sub-base, and lay a brand-new driveway.
Extensions & widening
Need more room for a second car, a turn-around, or a side parking pad? We’ll match the new section to your existing driveway.
Edges, aprons & transitions
Clean apron transitions to the road, neat edges along walkways and grass, and proper slope away from the house and garage.
When a new driveway is the right call.
Not every rough driveway needs a full tear-out. If the surface is mostly sound, patchwork or sealcoating may buy you more time. But when the asphalt is alligatored, sinking, holding water, or breaking apart at the edges, the base is usually the problem. Paving over a failed base only hides the issue for a short time.
During the estimate, we explain what we see and recommend the practical option: new installation, full replacement, widening, apron repair, or maintenance. The goal is simple: a smooth driveway that drains properly, looks clean from the road, and stands up to everyday use.
